ABOUT THE DESIGNER

 

Yara Ramzy is a young Egyptian designer who graduated from Economics back in 2017. However, she has always known she had to do something related to art. In 2020, Covid 19 and the pandemic came to destroy some people’s lives. But in Yara’s life, it came as a blessing as it gave her enough time to work on her passion. In 2021, Yara and her mother-NEVEEN AGHA-who is the CEO of the brand and a business partner, were able to create a business out of this passion. 

Yara wanted to introduce a jewelry line that is totally unfamiliar to people’s eyes. A jewelry line that is valuable, wearable, and meaningful. Each piece in Yara Ramzy’s collection is big and noticeable. You cannot hide it beneath your sleeves or under your collar.

Yara draws her inspiration from her own perspective about life. She always believes that nothing is perfect. Perfectionism breaks us. She believes in imperfection. The presence of scars. The chaotic looks. The uncertainty states. All her designs are that way, and she says that she always draws with a shaking hand and avoids any kind of harsh lines. That’s how the jewelry pieces end up being pieces of art. In this regard, Yara is always trying to deliver a message to the world-especially women. The message is that no one has to be complete to shine. Being real no matter how uncertain and chaotic you may look is a state that has its glory too.
